Privacy Policy
This document is written in as plain language as possible. Nothing in it derogates from any rights conferred on you under any law.
1What this policy applies to
This policy applies to the website of the Israel Lacrosse Association and to the services offered through it. It describes what information is collected when the site is used, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and what rights you have in relation to it.
The site is in the course of development and release. Features that are not yet active, including the administration area and online player registration, do not collect any information until they are actually brought into operation. When they are activated, this policy will be updated accordingly.
2What information is collected
Most browsing on the site does not require you to provide any details at all. Information is collected in two situations only:
- Information you provide on your own initiative: an enquiry through the contact form or by email includes the name, the email address and the content of the message you wrote.
- Technical information generated while browsing: the type of browser, the type of device, the pages viewed and the times they were viewed. This information is used for maintaining and improving the site and does not identify you personally.
3What the information is used for
We do not use the information for advertising purposes and we do not sell it to third parties.
- Replying to enquiries sent to us and handling them.
- Operating the site, diagnosing faults and improving its performance and accessibility.
- Understanding general patterns of use, in order to prioritise the development of pages and content.
- Complying with obligations under the law applying to the association as a recognised sports body.
6Information security
We take accepted measures to protect the information, including encryption of traffic to the site and restricting access to the information to office holders who need it in order to carry out their role.
That said, there is no online system whose security can be guaranteed absolutely, and we cannot undertake to be completely immune from unauthorised access.
7How long information is kept
Enquiries sent to us are kept for as long as is required in order to handle them and to follow them up, and are then deleted, unless there is an obligation under the law to keep them for a longer period.
8Your rights
Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, you are entitled to inspect the information held about you, to request its correction if it is not correct or up to date, and to request its deletion.
Any of these rights can be exercised by getting in touch at [email protected]. We will reply to the enquiry within a reasonable period of time.
9Minors
A considerable part of the sport's activity is intended for children and young people. Registration of a minor player is carried out with the club and with the consent of a parent or guardian, and we do not collect information from minors through the site.
A parent who believes that their child has provided us with information is welcome to contact us, and we will act to delete it.
10Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, mainly as new features are added to the site. The binding version is the version published on this page, and the date it was last updated is stated at the bottom of it.
11Contact
With any question regarding this policy or the way your information is handled, you can write to us at [email protected].
